Program TED@PalmSprings

Following the success of TED@Aspen in 2008, we're hosting a new simulcast event in Palm Springs, California from February 3-7, 2009. TED@PalmSprings: Register now »

An intimate way to experience TED

This February, 400 TEDsters will gather in beautiful Palm Springs to enjoy a live hosted simulcast of the full TED2009 program, with live speakers, music and performance onstage as well as the Long Beach program via satellite on crisp Sony monitors. TED@PalmSprings lets you take in all the TED speakers and performances in an intimate and relaxed setting -- we'll be taking over the newly revamped Riviera Resort & Spa. You'll enjoy spectacular evening events, live music and comedy, and terrific conversations, all in a stunning (and stylish) desert environment. And look for a few Palm Springs-only surprises!

All the TED goodies are included: a beautiful gift bag, post-conference DVDs, online networking with all conference participants, and the famous TED Book Club in the months leading up to the conference. The experience will be 100% TED quality. It won't, however, be 100% of the cost. A pass to TED@PalmSprings goes for the reduced rate of $3,750.

Great social events

In true TED fashion, there will be a full social program at TED@PalmSprings -- including an opening-night reception, spectacular dinner events and a Saturday-afternoon pool party. Plus breakfasts, lunches and the famous conversation breaks between sessions -- and some Palm Springs-only social events inspired by the Rat Pack-era vibe of the Riviera.

Hotel and travel

TED has reserved a block of hotel rooms in Palm Springs. These rooms are likely to sell out quickly. Please reserve early to avoid disappointment.

What attendees say

Here's what participants had to say about our 2008 simulcast event, in Aspen, Colorado:

"The experience of this past week was extraordinary -- and it is not just the incredible, inspiring speakers. It is the experience of being able to discuss the meaning and impact of this content with newfound friends in a remarkably open way ... there was an openness at TED@Aspen that I cannot recall from any other event or gathering. You have created a highly collaborative, collegial environment."
-- Alan Kucheck

"It was an experience that has completely and utterly transformed me and will continue to do so for the rest of my life. The conference was beyond world class, I don't think there is even a descriptor for how exquisitely the entire thing -- from beginning to end -- was designed, organized and executed."
-- Cooper Munroe
