Throw your own TEDActive Project Dinner Party!

This year, we’re inviting you to follow the TEDActive Projects at every step — whether you’re attending the conference or not. On the the night of Wednesday, February 29, we’ll hold three dinner parties to celebrate the six projects and spark bold new conversations, and we want to give you all the tools you need to hold parties like these at home.

Any great dinner party is also a place for incredible conversation, and we’ll be using this time to talk about all our ideas around the six Projects: Health, Giving, Progressive Ideas, Urbanization, Color, and Community Commerce. We want to hear your ideas too! Tweet them and hashtag them for the Project you want to contribute to: #ActiveHealth, #ActiveGiving, #ActiveIdeas, #ActiveUrban, #ActiveColor and #ActiveCommerce. We’ll be on the lookout from @TEDActive and @TEDpartners.

We’ve got three Pinterest boards that act as toolkits outlining everything you need for each party, from recipes to conversation starters to decorations to activities. And, from this blog post, you can download the tunes that will keep you going all night.

The New Year’s Eve party celebrates new habits that make life better. Use this party to connect to the Health and Giving projects and let’s take a second swing at those New Year’s resolutions to live healthier and give generously. Grab a 90-minute playlist by the awesome TEDActive DJs from dublab, and go from dreamy dinner music to dance party fun, right into the classic Auld Lang Syne.

At your Color and Movement party explore the Color, and Community and Commerce projects by using color and fun, unusual pairings to create community movements and bring people together. For your party, download a 90-minute playlist crafted to take you from a respectable dinner to shaking your money-maker under flashing lights.

For the Future party, we’re looking to the future and all the amazing possibilities it might hold — great perspectives for the Progressive Ideas and Urbanization Projects. What do you dream of in your city’s future? To jumpstart ideas, play the 90-minute playlist created to take you from a night of big ideas to seriously good times.
